This is my second time riding a bike, if not counting those practices I did on my high school’s playground several years ago. After I moved to bay area, not having a car made me crazy and eager for going out. Then I picked up biking again (almost like learning from the beginning again) . I went biking on the bay trail once to San Mateo Bridge. That trip took me about 40 minutes each way. Not very long after that, i got my car. As you can imagine, no more biking after then.
But today I went biking a group of friends. The trip starts from fisherman’s wharf till the ferry in Sausalito. It’s almost a 8 mile trip. Took us more than 2 hours. We went through some downtown area in SF and Sausalito, we went across the golden gate bridge, we also came across a tons of hills, steep slopes on our way. One of my friends said to me, this route is like the black diamond for skiing. Therefore, the whole process was really challenging to me!
After getting the ferry in Sausalito, we took a ferry back to Pier 39. We had dinner together at a restaurant in the city. Then I drove back alone at around 10pm. Really really tired now. Gonna go sleep. Just wanna say, I really enjoy the process getting challenged. Once a while in you life, you gotta find something like this for yourself 🙂
